I am a junior at Virginia Tech studying Mechanical Engineering. I am interested in a career in motorsports. I am looking for an internship or supporting role where I can work as part of a team developing solutions to previously unsolved problems. I am willing and eager to learn everything I can about how an automotive performance organization works and how race cars are built. I am meticulous about details and love a good competition. I'd really appreciate a shot!
I have been involved in many sports and extracurricular activities throughout my highschool and college career.
I am a current junior at Virginia Tech working on my bachelors in mechanical engineering. I am also persuing a minor in nuclear engineering. I am expecting to graduate in the class of 2026.
For my senior project of high school, I decided to retake the record for the worlds tallest hotwheels loop. This is a record I had previously held following my 5th grade science/math fair. Unfortunatly, about 8 months after I broke the record, the Ford Motor Company broke my record by two feet 9 inches. By this point, I was in 6th grade and taking the record back seemed impossible at the time. However, for my senior project, I decided to have another crack at it. After about a month of development and assembly, I set the new and current World Record at twelve feet eight inches.
You can see my World Record here:
Guinness World RecordsI was on the F.I.R.S.T. Robotics team for both of my highschools. My sophmore year, I programmed the pneumatic system for the robot that went to the world championship competition in Detroit. I also won the "Rochester Institute of Technology award for Creativity and Design" for my part in designing a pivoting arm that could through a ball into a target. The goal of the robotics team is to take a set of challenges and tasks and build a robot from scratch to accomplish these tasks. We build large, 150lbs and 30" by 30" robots. I was on the programming sub-team for two years and the mechanical sub-team for two years, eventually becoming captain of the mechanical team.
I was an honours student at Gilmour Academy in highschool. I have taken AP Computer Science and AP Statistics along with college prep courses for robotics and website design and development.
I currently row for the Virginia Tech varsity crew team. My boat won both the High Point and Occoquan regattas and placed 8th in our division at the Head of the Hooch regatta. I also rowed crew for all 4 years of high school. I rowed on the Varsity team since sophmore year. In my senior year I was elected Men's Team Capitan In 2019 and my Men's Varisty Four boat went to the National Finals, where we finished 5th in our division.
I have been racing Go Karts at Thompson Motor Speedway and Genesee Valley Kart Club for 11 years. I won the Drivers Championship three times and the "Top Gun" award which is awarded to the driver who scores the most points in any division. Not only do I drive, but I also maintain my own kart.
I played Varsity Hockey for two years at Gilmour Academy. Prior to that, I played for the Buffalo Bisons. I have been playing hockey for 12 years. In 2020, I won my school's "Most Improved Player" Award. In 2021, my team finished runner-up in the State Championship.
I have had a multitude of jobs and internships that have required me to interact with customers and create a fun, friendly, and informative environment.
